I'm about half way through Harry August. Very enjoyable so far

Them beOS icons were lovely at the time

Discovered this app a year ago and love it. Use it almost everytime I'm out on a walk or a bike ride. Glad to see it's getting some love here. I echo the sentiments of another commenter that said it's the shining example of what "a computer in everyone's pocket" could have been.

All these worlds are yours - except Europa

I loved that show. I've struggled to explain to my teenage kids what the show was about and the appeal of it .. they don't get it. I used to tape it to VHS and still have said tapes in my loft, they haven't been played back since the late 90s. I dawned on me how much culturally significant material is probably on those tapes, down to the adverts and little MTV idents and the odd music video. I really must get round to getting them digitised.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all.

Being from the UK, I take it NPR is the equivalent of Radio 4? (Albeit on a bigger scale, naturally)

I for one would like to see IRC based book clubs flourish. Real time conversation without being limited to 140 characters
