OP here. My app finally got approved, I thought I'd share it with HN. Here's the link:

It's a text-based RPG. Quite simple at first glance, but it features 100+ levels and hundreds of items, with a pretty awesome story too. The game builds in complexity and takes 2-3 weeks to finish I'd estimate.
Tech-wise, it's a hybrid native/uiwebview app, built in obj-c with php, mysql, html5/css3, and jquery. I coded it entirely myself over the course of a month. There are in-app purchases, but they are not necessary to complete the game, so please enjoy it.
