The only option I can think of is to just pay influencers, and I’m guessing the cost of influencer marketing is going to be a multiple of what I spent actually developing the app. What am I missing?
When you see a blog post like this, never interpret it as “database A is X% faster than database B”, there are just too many factors.
It’s more like “we put focused work into performance improvements and we expect certain workloads to perform better than the previous release”.
This seems like a good project, and benchmarking is a good way for a development team to iterate on performance. Just want to get my take out there.
Yep, ai;dr, closed tab
I haven’t heard anyone mention it in years besides “the crypto thing in Brave that everyone turns off”
> You know who did help me? Random strangers on Stack Overflow. People who had nothing to gain from helping me other than just trying to help someone in need.
This part makes the entire post sound like a parody. Maybe Jeff Atwood has a wicked, self-deprecating sense of humor?
Yeah no, ask for help on Stack Overflow and you were were more likely to be met with castigation and snide remarks. It was such a breath of fresh air when ChatGPT let us not have to deal with that community anymore.
I still use plan mode in Astra to come up with a plan that I then feed into Fable. I feel like OpenAI models still do better big picture investigation and planning, while Claude is the better software engineer, if that makes any sense.
Of course this could well come down to my own biases and the specific things I’m working on.
Prompt Engineering, OpenClaw, Ralphing (remember that?) have all fallen already.
In my house, software will always be an uncountable noun.
