In the Top Gear interview, they even state that using a fuel "would not be a Tesla thing to do".

An MCP server should be self-describing, so I use prompts to deliver skills or skill-like context.

I think your take has more application than writing. I also suspect that Jev-like use cases for LLMs will begin to overtake the generate-all-the-things paradigm in programming, contracts/legal, music.

People are beginning to wisen to how to more skillfully deploy generative models.

I was seriously reading this article right up until the word "load-bearing", and then despite my best efforts, my brain just sort of disconnected from the piece. I just skimmed to the end quickly before realizing what happened.

People will not be held responsible; the disasters caused by AI will be attributed as a natural phenomenon -- like the weather. The companies involved in creating and operating AI will certainly not take any accountability for any "spills".

Would you consider taking all of your learnings and translate them into a concrete specification and publish it on your website, so that we can all do our own clean-room from-spec-only implementation?

And given nigh-unlimited compute for free.

I think understand what you're trying to say, that the relative sizes of countries on the map is not of any particular importance, and that it certainly does not affect the pride one feels in one's country positively or negatively.

Yet, it was clearly very important for the governments of the formerly smaller countries to be shown to be larger on the official UN map. Otherwise, why bother with a vote?

The entire point of the new projection was to reflect the relative size of the landmasses more accurately.

Hmm, I see your point but I wasn't actually disagreeing with your post. I was just pointing out how something that starts innocuous and defensible can quickly spiral into dark patterns when the lawyers are properly incentivized to cover things up.

I downvoted you because I think the OPs model is far simpler to implement and suffers from fewer conflicts of interest.

If we go down the regulation of alignment route, we'll have to ask experts to create those regulations and monitoring regimes. And which experts will the government ask? Oh, right, the parties that stand to benefit the most from regulation: OpenAI and Anthropic!

When "the experts" make certification cost $100M/model because "safety and alignment", then they will have cemented their duopoly.

Meanwhile, tariff rates on compute is a simple percentage that can be scaled up and down. Congress doesn't need experts to do that. Vendors can participate proportionally to their scale. This is far simpler and far more fair.
