Yeah, sure you can. Go solve self-sustaining fusion. This is such a weird article.

Me, for all the reasons listed so far in comments

It's crazy that we need this article. It's just bribery with a single extra step. I never understood how everyone thought this was normal while growing up.

I was taught "point at someone and tell them 'you, specifically, call 911'" but I like touch a lot better. Makes more sense for getting someone to actually do it.

Magic, got it.

(I am floored that this works. This is amazing.)

Weird. I see a lot of my friends disenchanted like this, but a lot of the reason I'm not is Linux and more importantly, open source projects in general. The more of an effort I make to learn the open source alternative to whatever adobe or what have you I used to use, the more I enjoy computing.

Are they quirky? As hell. But by and large, are they enshittifying like the big box software? No, most of them are getting better, and rapidly.

Personally, I find there's nothing like actually looking forward to a software update like I did in 2005 and expecting new, useful, features and then actually getting them in an update to restore my sense of computing whimsy.

Obviously do what works for you. This is just not my experience.

Looks like an extremely cool concept, but I'm wary about how many bugs I'd run into trying to use it if the code has had as little effort put into it as the website.

I think I'll keep just making up basic sketches when I need to work with one of these protocols - it's also nice that if I do that, when I see it work, I know I can expand functionality from there into what I need.

There is a big difference between intellisense and LLMs. I've never used intellisense to input something I wasn't already looking for/about to type out. It just saved me remembering the exact wording and/or keystrokes.

Damn. But hopefully they improve on that. I would absolutely be considering one if this wasn't the case

Inventing Snow Crash. Neat.

Hmmm. I select "line > 2 points" and attempt to draw a line. I see nothing when I move my mouse over the canvas or click.

In a default native install, I get a crosshair and grid dots, and when I select "line > 2 points" I can click on the canvas twice and I get a line between those locations.

Edit: All tools appear to be broken and clicking on the canvas after selecting a tool doesn't draw anything.

Google Chrome Version 150.0.7871.46 (Official Build) (64-bit)

I also tried in an incognito tab in case it was an extension or cache issue, still nothing.

Agreed, I have no experience with VC anything, but I was still nodding along the whole time as I was reading.

This is extremely useful and cool. I dream of having visualizations like this for anything I buy that has specifications.

Kind of crazy to me that anyone would block an entire TLD. This timeline is bizarre. How often and with what services do you find zip blocked? Genuinely curious
