"Package manager"-like behaviour like this is evil. Importing software/code at runtime from the internet (like Apt, Go, Pacman, Pip, NPM, etc.) is the equivalent of those dreadful online stub installer packages, and it's impressive it's as trusted a mechanism as it is.

Leave the Go code or Linux distro to link-rot for a couple decades and all imports like this will be dead or serving malware, leaving the software unusable.

By leaking American info, Snowden painted a target on his back that can be reached by the USA and all allies with extradition agreements. That leaves him with very few superpowers who won't hand him over to the FBI/CIA and execution or imprisonment.

If I were in his shoes, I too would relocate to a superpower not allied with the USA and avoid getting involved in anything political over there.

I use Betula (https://codeberg.org/bouncepaw/betula/) for this purpose of a self-hosted personal Google (for websites).

(For file search, I use voidtools' Everything, and I'm not sure why anyone other than Microsoft would want to mix local file results and web results)

This project looks cool, though I misread the name as "Hipster" initially [sips almond milk macha coffee]

What about Krionicle? References Chronological Chronicle, cryo- (freezing knowledge for later use), and a robotic toy from 2001

How arrogant of the Musescore developers to think they know better than hundreds of years of historical music notation by actual musicians. Seems in line with their arrogant disregard for the community and bad Audacity overhaul and nonsensical rebranding.

I am frustrated by the constant rebranding and tech churn (Qt now? Why?) under the new Audacity management. A lesson for other open-source projects: don't be bought out by commercial companies.

Nuclear's great until you have a natural disaster or war. Then every single reactor is a potential Chernobyl. The less of those around, the better.

How much does it cost? I was spooked when there were no prices on the website and it says only "email for quote".

I will be buying a Mullvad subscription because of this. Keep up the good work! Private individuals should have the right to free speech/expression, whatever that is, and that is a value I admire this VPN company for standing up for.

Too many companies pay lip service to the current political fad du jour, and it's annoying. I like an apolitical company that does its thing and doesn't pretend more.
