He still has about 75% approval among Republican voters, and just under 50% "strongly" approve.

That puts Republican senators who might want to break with him in a tough position.

It's possible that if the Iran war drags on and things get much worse, that could change, but I don't see it happening overnight.

If the Democrats win they will of course impeach Trump, but he can't be convicted without 2/3 of the Senate, and the Democrats have no chance of attaining that in the Senate. So the only chance of Trump being convicted while in office is if the Republicans turn on him, which I don't see happening without something very dramatic happening, like him attempting (and hopefully failing) to use nuclear weapons against Iran.

The causative arrow could point in the other direction, here. Or both directions at once

Perhaps I am being uncharitable, but I don't see what's interesting about it at all. Visualizing IPv4 against population (or maybe GDP) would have been far more illuminating.

> Race could potentially apply to something like an acting job too but that's a lot more of a dicey subject, like it would need to be absolutely critical to the production that a character is a specific race.

Is this true? I would think that this conflicts with first amendment rights a bit.

So you're advocating for a complete disregard for all laws until Trump is out of office, is that right? Traffic laws, domestic violence laws, regulations around food safety, etc.

Or maybe you mean only federal laws, like laws around human trafficking?

Or is there something specific about immigration law that requires it be voided when the president is a lawbreaker?

I really don't think anyone is taking Trump's misdeeds and poor character into account when making the decision to cross the border illegally or overstay a visa. I'm quite sure they are thinking more about economic opportunities, getting out of a bad situation in their home country, reuniting with family, or other things along those lines.

At the risk of a committing a "No True Scotsman" here... it isn't a properly left wing position. Or at least it hasn't been for most of the history of the left.

I think the forced-chat price history thing is a dirty way of trying to get people used to talking to the chatbot. Can't think of any other reason it would be designed so stupidly

Realree camo has become popular with the "creatives sipping soy lattes" demographic. Although Apple is actually bit behind the curve here, I think it's already become a little passe.

It will probably do both

It was the complete lack of fear or urgency on the part of the characters for me.

I'd be surprised if Claude would implement password storage without a salt, tbh (assuming a recent model). If he doesn't know the implementation details I'd say it's more than likely that it is actually salting the hashes.

I wonder if anyone's tested the reverse, whether Claude/GPT models produce worse code for an ostensible Chinese or Russian government agency or contractor.

Zuckerberg's Hawaiian demesne has a fully underground bunker complete with medical clinic. I know several people who worked on it (and disregarded their NDAs entirely, impossible to prevent people in Hawaii from talking story)
