I'm not trying to be defeatist but with these models, is there even a real way to contain the blast radius? I also run things sandboxed but it feels like it taking over the whole computer is at the distance of just one probability calculation going awry.

In Turkish, the bishop is also called "fil" (elephant).

The best way to stop eating ice cream is to stop buying ice cream. If it's in the freezer, it'll be eaten.

I have no doubt it'll be attempted, but they won't be clones, they'll be clowns.

Even if they were pixel perfect clones with exactly the same play. As a person who vibe codes like there's no tomorrow to have custom software, I still find the color of the bytes important for something like a retrogame.

Otherwise it's like color photocopy of an art piece.

So we cannot say anything bad about the current administration without being divisive? What does criticising them tell you about tribalism?

Be ambitious to be happy.

The trick is not making it about being very productive, but productive "enough".

Elon and many others act like if not everyone is giving it their 110%, the world will be doomed, however the world is full of communities that otherwise were living happily getting destroyed by 110ers.

If you accept your (and everyone elses) insignificance, focus on your community, and just try to be compatible with your kids or colleagues or random people on the street , while at the same keeping your ability to reject judgement, life gets much easier.

One weirdness I experienced: It suddenly decided to test how my software behaves under load and summoned 100s of processed that just burned CPU when running the e2e suite. My poor mac was not happy (too hot to touch).

Well it was nice while it lasted. Built so much stuff for basically free. I can only thank them for that.

I guess this means that this powerful model for very cheap concept does not work?

you can also do this with an esp32 as long as you don't insist using a browser to draw a clock

Also works wonderful for generating AI scripts, goal being increasing the elo rating after a tournament run. Also having deep and shallow tests save a lot of time. Deep tests are run sparingly while shallow tests are run after each change.

devops monster! crazy how intelligently it debugs/solves any devops problem I could throw at it!

Thanks for the example but there being other cases and me as an average person who follows the news having no idea about all this make it even weirder for me.

Very weird case. I don't think anyone can survive here in Germany on a 503€ allowance he gets, and let alone having some probable but unproven ties to a state considered an enemy since only recently, I would find crippling someone to that degree harsh even for a convicted war criminal. He's apparently not even allowed to pay rent!

> I will sin and make this about me (continues to make an awesome, general point about engineering)
