The stock market must break records week after week. This is a direct order from the president to the Fed.

>The Fed also said in the statement that the “fundamentals of the U.S. economy remain strong.”

So why cut the rate? Doesn't make any sense.

Mattresses have been sprayed with flame retardants for decades. Supposedly, many of these new-age foam ones don't contain them.

except deforestation is no longer a requirement for development and really hasn't been for 100 years. Look at Japan and South Korea (67.00% and 63.20% forestation respectively). Indonesia is already down to 46.46%. Go look at Brazil outside of the Amazon. Mostly deforested already for farmland and it hasn't really brought the country into the 1st world. Agrarian societies are a dead end for development.

Most of the people that work there probably aren't software engineers.

>One database contains transcriptions of all 31,082 interactions my family has had with the virtual assistant Alexa. Audio clips of the recordings are also provided.

>The 48 requests to play Let It Go, flag my daughter’s infatuation with Disney’s Frozen.

So does Amazon tag voices to specific people too? Seems like a no brainer to start collecting data on a little kid if you can, legality aside. I wonder.

Also, if i set up a pi that just continually spams Alexa with random voice generated questions, will they ever figure it out and stop saving those recordings?

>The budget documents released Monday anticipate 6,434 active-duty Space Force members

Seems like incredible bloat for this agency to have any sort of 'active duty' military personal at the moment. What are they exactly going to do that civilians can't?

Well only the French have the stones to lay out a fine like this.

>Apple implemented this to help users extend life of older devices.

No they didn't. The software updates didn't properly work on phones with the older batteries, so this was their work around. The options they had were: 1. not allow the updates on those phones, 2. allow the updates and have users deal with potentially having the phones shut down. 3. Offer battery upgrades. 4. Jerry rig a hack to deal with it.

They went with the most subversive option. They were not being benevolent here.

A simple RESTful mobile-friendly web page could have handled this easy. What were these people thinking?
