"Quelquechose" doesn't mean anything in French. It's written "quelque chose".

Rightfully so, I would say? Given that strategic independence is the starting point for this discussion.

Personally happy that my country has some measure of military autonomy from the U.S.

Though I am in favor of European integration, too.

Fallacious comparison, two entirely different situations. For a start, whatever the Iranian response, the aggressor at the root of this particular episode is the other side: the U.S.

Pascal's wager, as it relates to faith, is based on the premise that there is a lot to win in making the wager --but little to lose. In turn, that second part is grounded in the assumption (right or wrong, I won't judge) that living according to Christian principles brings benefits _in this life also_ to the individual who so chooses.

So it seems a mischaracterization to present the essence of the wager as going out of your way to perform random and costly rites in the hope of lifting any ill omen.

Similar make by the same brand here. I have been wearing it for five years without issue.

It's also a fairly inexpensive watch, so it's no big deal should I lose it. (I have no sentimental attachment to mine.)

A downside I see to smartwatches is they feel outdated after a few years. With this, you make the decision to stick to the basics, but hopefully you're not generating any more waste for the next 10-15 years.

(Edit: spelling)

Same here. I do not have admin rights on the machine so, unless I'm mistaken, I don't have any other option but to reboot.

"comme un imbécile, je marche" has the double meaning of "I walk" / "I fall for it". A possible translation would be "And I, like an imbecile, go along with it".

I've been using Shaarli, https://github.com/shaarli/Shaarli, for several years. It's proved very useful.

I like OP's idea of automated PDF save.

For Android users, one strong point of Shaarli is that there's a companion app, https://github.com/dimtion/Shaarlier, that allows you to save notes/links through the Android share menu.

Calling beetles "unremarkable, ugly insects"? Ancient Egypt begs to differ.

Also, calling your school band "The Nemesis" sounds unbearably conceited.

On Android, I really like Aegis, https://getaegis.app. Open source, biometric unlock, automated backups. Available from the Play Store and Fdroid.

In Jetbrains IDEs, when you define a data source, there is a button to make the source global. If you do that, it will be accessible across all projects.
