It looks like they've been around since 2010, which surprises me because GitHub was around for a year or two before that iirc. I still envy that username, though!

I always loved downloading them DRM-free. Because it felt like I had actually owned it instead of just reading it from some website that could snatch it back at any second. I know Library Genesis is still up and running fine, but this is a warning of things that could happen.

I'm curious, how hard would it be to make a Firefox extension out of this?

Agreed. It really takes me back to the old days of the Internet, with fun little easter eggs like this!

Google is evil, today. They didn't even have to change their site.

RIP, HN hug of death.

Yep. It's got all you could want from Firefox -- Mozilla free. (+more)

This is awesome. I've been looking for color palette generating sites for a while, and this one is pretty good.

Saw another HN user's comment about automatic battle-bot features. Maaaybe it's not the best idea in this case!

I'm all for robots taking over the world, that is, if I get my tacos.

I think having a plain email signup/login would be best, especially since a lot of people are moving away from Google and going to alternatives.

Plus the big ASCII art at the bottom of the file.

These Apple "updates" are just going to get crazier and crazier, aren't they?

Sorry since this isn't related, but why was almost everyone's account in the comments created 5 hours ago... right when this post was made?

One complaint is that it requires a Google account to sign up. It does make sense why this is a feature, but it's still kind of annoying.
