I recognise the frustration in this comment and it’s not fair that Indians were singled out, especially because of how few English speakers speak native Indian dialects

What’s interesting about the comment though is that to the native English speaking ear the ‘v’ in ‘Avatar’ is definitely not pronounced ‘w’. I would say this confusion points to a difference in how the sounds are differentiated in the native dialects. Similar (but to a lesser degree) to how a native English speaker would struggle to ‘hear’ sounds in a tonal language that they didn’t speak natively

There was significant talk about market manipulation - he knows what he's going to tariff and how that'll affect the stock market, so he can buy low and sell high without any risk, because he is effectively the dominant market force right now

It also doesn’t need to be a scar.. much easier to explain things as obvious post hoc than to predict them I fear

Spoken like someone who has never spent time around old cars. The 90s cars were already enshittified

You sure can buy severely enshittified versions of all those products designed with a very limited lifespan for cheap.

I wonder if this means that going to the gym is a huge source of exposure then. Enclosed environment with rubber mat flooring and weights constantly banging against it..

You obviously haven’t done it both ways and are assuming that spearing requires more dexterity than cutting. Hilarious that you could just try it for yourself and figure out that knife in the dominant hand works well but choose instead to bore everyone with your ignorance and stunning closemindedness

I think the reality is that the brain is an organ and loses functionality in old age, similar to the heart, lungs, liver, skin, whatever you want to name. Lifestyle plays a significant role and I think you’ll find that people that take care of themselves and have less loss of functionality are significantly happier and wiser in their old age. I do think that there’s adaptive functionality in hormonal changes though

Somehow both incredibly optimistic and also unbelievably resigned at the same time

Pretty sure the people who have to choose between eating and a $2 adapter and not eating and a Bluetooth keyboard have a better understanding of the trade offs and what’s viable than you do. Not sure what real point you’re trying to make here
