I don’t understand how this provides anything above using GitHub status checks and branch protections to require conversations to be resolved before merging. Combined with the GitHub CLI, this gives agents everything they need to achieve the same result. More AI slop on top of AI slop. At this point when seeing these kinds of posts I feel like Edward Norton in front of the copy machine.

Nobody seems to be taking about how great typst is to use programmatically. It’s absolutely trivial for example to build a Lambda function that parses some json input into a PDF. We’re using it to generate PDF invoices for our customers. We save massive amounts of compute because of how fast typst compiles into the PDF.

Frankly I think your article focuses on an outdated or not relevant setting in GitHub. So the red herring is probably backwards here. There are tons of these (don’t get me started about topics and managing them for many repos), but GitHub has clearly been pushing rulesets over the past years and combined with CODEOWNERS this is the de-facto way of granularity managing who can make changes to GA workflows.

CODEOWNERS combined with branch protection rules can require reviews for arbitrary branches matching a glob pattern.

I wouldn’t consider hiring you. But not because of what you describe but because there is no photo on your LinkedIn but a weird snake illustration.
