I giggled on that one. It feels like children playing having a job. If they pay that much for tokens they have to have at least 80k customers paying 50$ a month. Seems huge for something like that. Or they have a lot of investors. Anyway does not feel like something going anywhere.

They probably did not even think about asking customers.

Why you can just setup an account, or give interviewee a credit to spend on OperRouter. Or you can have internal infrastructure to host some models and langfuse there to inspect what they were doing actually.

Do you think it will be always 20 dollars? I think at some point everybody will ramp up the prices to the point when half of your salary will be tokens. And I am not sure I want to be in IT then.

I am not sure if this is the same as talking about you buying a hardware when you were 14. You did not had a mortgage and pay for insurance and car oil change then. Everything is super costly now. You have family you need to take care of. Your kids money for their hobbies. Paying for AI in order to be able to afford not a job, but job interview... This is very bad.

So about this point-and-click game: Am I supposed to carry this floppy disk 2408 times between those PCs? Or I missed some obvious detail?

Yes I am running it now, it is pretty nice though custom, not related to the original developer, mobile application, have few annoying problems. I.e. it does not allow you to connect to your own server right away. It does not have notifications working on stable version. I had to ask an agent to do some changes first before it was usable.

On the other hand Strafe does not have it at all, so it is not really a competition.

Because I am using local Qwen. Flash Next is awesome! When hardware will not be a problem, everybody will be running their own models.

That is a bummer.

seems useful for most of the folks that just want to do stuff without going through (over)complicated UIs...

But I feel dumber just by looking at it. If this is how this will look like in 10 years, why to make desktop at all. Just connect mic and speaker to your PC or talk to the phone: 'I need new pair of socks. Order 10 for me. In your favourige color it will be 21.37. Should I charge your credit card?'.

It is not like most of the people enjoy computers. I am pretty sure they do not. They just need them to operate systems they need: government websites, banks, maps, restaurant menus etc. If some agent will do that for them, why bother looking at screen at all? Rich people have it with their own personal assistants.

What a messy thing to do. Maybe fine for a project but a desktop? No.

Yeah, I did the same. Now I am happily running Flash Next.
