I have noticed a real lack of qualified car mechanics. I mean people that can actually fix something in a car instead of just swapping pieces. Maybe that will be my next career. Don't know where to start, though.

Hi, consider talking to someone. Also, community helps.

Sell the house, learn spanish, move to Costa Rica.

As someone living in a country with free healthcare, this whole comments section makes me angry. Fight that system!

today I learned there are good radiologists and sh-t radiologist.

Explain to me what is "long-horizon software engineering" in 2026.

I was thinking how the OneDrive/Google drive cloud storage offers can be easily emulated by LLM + S3 compatible storage. You can write a 10 lines skill file that basically says "when I ask you to upload a file, use this API key to upload it to the best suited path on my bucket"

I like how this world class engineer's answer to Hamilton is basically "have you tried turning it off an on again?"

That's very european. Even the ones who invest in stock mostly choose US tech stocks to get some double digit growth.

Okay, I am scared.

It felt real and, for a moment, I was worried that it was journalism and not fiction.

Yup, we are being force-fed the large SUVs and the over-engineered computer-on-4-wheels.

I think the concept is cool, but I tried clicking on stuff I'm familiar with, and I don't get the circles thing.

For example, the French communist party (PCF) has Jacques Chirac in its first circle. He has briefly been in this party, but he mostly remembered as right-wing.

Also the Fiorentina football club, should have its hall of fame striker Gabriel Batistuta in its first circle -he has a statue- while he appears in the outer circle.

I get the intent, but that's a brutal thing to say.

I did not know about Rolife. Just found the perfect birthday gift for my daughter!
