I am the creator of Ballpark, a geography game where you have to pin cities, landmarks, and natural features on a world map.
The twist is that, for each round, you must choose how precise your guess is. From a 100m-radius circle to a 500km one.
You can try it here in two modes: Daily Game https://www.habibicode.org/ballpark
Endless https://www.habibicode.org/ballpark/endless
Of course, the game is free and doesn't require an account (you can create one to save your score)
As with my other game, Borderline, I will use the accumulated, anonymous data to produce dataviz and other informational content.
Hope you enjoy it!
Here is a globe made from 350,000+ drawings people have traced from memory in my game, Borderline.
Each round asks for a land border (to be traced on a blank map, with major cities, rivers, and reliefs shown) or a coastline (with ground removed).
All the drawings are saved as geographical coordinates and positioned precisely in relation to one another on a blank canvas, at the location they were drawn. When several lines converge at the same point, they become darker, showing where the crowd agrees.
Hope you enjoy it
