A terrible terrible coder? That's a really insulting negative tone. Maybe he is not the best but he is clearly not terrible. Out of all the programmers in the world my guess would be that he is easily in the top 1-5% even if he leaves messy code behind.

There seems to be some really personal stuff in there. Isn't this a huge violation of privacy or am I missing something? Any difference between wikileaks making something like this public and the British tabloids hacking peoples phones?

I don't think many consider Sweden to be that. Maybe he is just trying to escape his accusations in Sweden?

"Half the world would be on anti-depression medications if you told them that and proved it."

So at least their unhappiness isn't limited by their genes?

"Joy to the world!

What a trainwreck."

I find news about Nokia interesting, so thank you for posting this, but what is up with the tone of the article? It feels more like a youtube-comment than news.

When I was using the free version a while back you could mute and then hit play again if you didn't want to listen to the ads. Don't know if that still works.

I never liked app engine. To me it seemed like you have to lock yourself into google as a vendor because your application has to be designed for app engine.

Yes! What about spotify? Uploading your own music? Only playing songs that you already own? Bah! Spotify came before google, amazon and apple with what seems to be a better service..

I'm writing a java web app without any xml at all. The servlet 3.0 api has some pretty nifty annotations.

"Microsoft does great things, but it’s become safe and dependable rather than exciting and risky."

After running into yet another bug in a new and shiny framework, costing me oh so much time, safe and dependable is starting to sound rather nice.If you always use cutting-edge do you really save time over using the tried and tested? A lot of time is lost due to having to learn new things, lack of documentation, lack of features and bugs. There is no absolute answer of course but it's a thing I think is important to keep in mind.

I doubt it. Maybe facebook will be worth more on paper, for a short period of time but Google provides a far far more valuable service and I think that will show in the end.

What public are we talking about? I don't think Apple are considered to be a big bad bad corporation outside of developer circles. On the other hand there have been news reports about how much Google knows about you etc. here in Sweden.

That game looks awesome but I found it rather amusing that the video shows the "hero" stalking a creature through the forest and into his home and then killing him for no apparent reason? Seems like a dick move to me.
