Imagine what would happen if Trump comes back and says:

"Our store is only accepting Bitcoin, Ethereum and Monero as payment methods"

Could spearhead the shift to decentralized cryptocurrencies.

Conservative men pride themselves in being distinctly men so they exaggerate the masculine traits like a beard.

Agree. This is a huge slippery slope.

In this situation we're talking about a bunch of conspiracy nut jobs compared to a cold-blooded criminal that premediates their violent crimes.

How long are we going to lock them up? How many people are we going to lock up?

My understanding was that there was 100k+ people in attendance at this rally and thousands of people were in the capitol building itself.

What exactly do people expect to happen by identifying the capitol rioters?

Okay they get arrested, maybe charged with a crime. Others will get doxxed and most will lose their jobs. They'll become social outcasts.

Do you really want a bunch of very angry people to effectively be pushed into a corner, demonized by society and so on?

This will end up having very big unintended consequences.

The problem with this is that it doesn't end with parler and similar. It ends with a new bill being passed where the ability to make communication platforms of anything is effectively stripped from any small person from making. It will be delegated solely to big corporations with government approval.

Really do you want the government to do something similar to the "night of the long knives" like what happened in Germany? Think about what type of message that is sending and what type of society you want to live in.

I find it very hard to believe that people get the impression that Trump was the fascist when you are over here advocating for a fascist method of silencing opposition groups.

Violence and persecution is never the answer.

I am a conservative and right now in the community there is talks of using high-anonymity tools like TOR to go completely underground. We're trying to educate everyone on how to use these tools as quickly as possible.

Law enforcement/FBI have never been good at stopping terrorist attacks. The only ones they stop are the ones where the attacker is being stupid obvious like openly talking about it online. Most of the time they let them go through because "they need to build a case".

So get rid of freedom of speech? Got it.

A few were but it was a tiny proportion. Think 5 people out of 100,000 that went type of situation.

The tech community has already been hitting the drum beat for stripping our liberties and massively expanding the surveillance programs under the guise of "stopping terrorism".

Why do you think Biden was quick to identify the protest as terrorism? It will set the tone for the rest of his administration. Civil liberties will be stripped in the name of security/stopping terrorism.

Deplatforming just encourages people to seek out alternative platforms to use that have conservative moderations instead.

Right wing going forward will not be going away. In fact, it will grow and the staunchness will become more hardline.
