I'm a senior software engineer at my company. The AI slop is so bad that it's causing myself code review fatigue. The engineers are also intermediate with 3-4 years of experience.I had one guy report me to his manager because I wasn't letting him merge his PR in because of a critical bug with his code that his precious ai didn't understand.

You can add as much security as you want it won't stop someone malicious from stealing the code and modifying it once they have it. You can install monitoring software which no developer would agree to.you can host your own code repository server which developers can only access through VPN. Add a software license to your code repository, if they are caught violating your license you will automatically win a civil lawsuit(if you find out code was stolen).

Most laughable thing I ever heard. A journalist will be the first ones to be replaced before any good software engineer and it has already happened (sports illustrated, vice, etc.)
