One nuance not mentioned in the blog is that this particular "without" is expressed with the archaic negative verb conjugation -zu (ず). It lives on in set phrases and literary use, but it's not usable without a verb to negate (you can't say "pan-zu ikiru" for "live without bread") and it's going to sound pretty weird if you try to use it for quotidian things like "live without eating bread" (pan tabezu ikiru).

AI subscription plans are selling $100 bills for $10, they are way more expensive to the company than people buying metered tokens.

I'm glad you apparently live in an ideal world where every incident is fully root caused and fixed at the origin, and all your coders produce perfect, bug-free code.

Most of us, however, do not.

Mt Gox was widely reckoned to be a clown show long before they got hacked (it was originally a Magic the Gathering trading site for chrissake).

Binance's reputation is hardly impeccable, but by crypto standards they're kinda sorta the adults in the room. Then again, so was FTX.

Binance is the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange. This is the crypto equivalent of JP Morgan Chase getting hacked.

Literally every modern browser descends from Webkit. If anything Chrome diverged from it by switching to Blink in 2013.

"Passive method of control" is a remarkable euphemism for being packed off to the gulag for crimes like being related to someone who fled to South Korea.

You misspelled "turn it into more nuclear weapons in North Korea", where Kim Jong Un is already living like a king.

The vast majority of that money is going to AI. Some part of it is for internal consumption, some of it is for resale to GCP customers, but it is not some sort of loss making subsidy to prop up GCP.
