Absolutely. I always wonder, the people who work on the YouTube app, do they actually use it.

I could list so many problems with YouTube app (on android for me).

- Multiple times a day I accidentally click another video and try to go back to previous video and lose the position (they used to have a confirmation dialog to play another video when you already have something playing, got rid of it for some reason.

- I used to be able to Chromecast to TV with a casting playlist, where I'd easily add and remove videos, change order. I was able to disconnect from TV and continue watching, later connect to TV again. They completely messed it up. Now it's even worse they created multiple "play on device" and it's so awkward to add videos to queue.

- when I play a video, why doesn't it continue downloading the entire video so I watch it offline. I need to specifically download and it doesn't save the position properly.

- playing videos offline doesn't always remembers position and doesn't keep track of played.

- previews reset the watched position of videos and litters watched history with videos you didn't actually watch.

- notifications are useless, it doesn't notify me of videos I specifically subscribed to and want notifications for.

Sorry for the rant. It just so happens YouTube is where I consume most of my content.

The YouTube app is such a terrible app. Everyday they make changes that seem to make it work. I've been a premium user for years and hate using it. Offline doesn't always sync properly and I can't access my content on the plane. I wish we could build our own YouTube client. I'm not sure they allow this. Frustrating, as there's so much potential.

When things are broken in prod and customers screaming you bypass QA to get the fix live

I really don't understand why they didn't create an "app store" style skills library where it could be approved and scanned for security issues

Internet routing around nuclear war not because it's cable but it's because it's an inter connected network (ie "internet"). Meaning there's multiple routes to the same destination.

Yes, but those are different reasons. Eventually we'll have many different providers offering LEO internet. Competition is the best way to solve this. The benefits of LEO internet is obvious.

The obvious is the cost of deploying. You don't need to dig to add cable. Full country coverage. Worldwide customers.

They literally merging US military with Israel lol

If you're determined enough you can cause damage that does not decay or go higher than LEO. This risk already exists for accidents. If your goal is to cause it, it wouldn't be too difficult

Eventually someone somewhere will decide these LEO satellites are used for the military against their own sovereign countries and will have to start destroying them. We will end up with a graveyard in space where fragments will make it difficult to continue any space activities.

No one should be able to do anything. You learn to do it or you don't. There are women who are already capable of opening jars without help. There's no conspiracy here. If you think it's an untapped market go out and start selling easy open jars.
