I don't believe other jobs are going to be as impacted as software engineering. Software is unique in that regard that the results can be verified quickly and easily fixed. On the other hand nobody is going to try building a building only to check if it's structurally sound because that would be absurd.

That's why I'm sceptical about the value of ai in software development. Much more can now be done but I don't see costumers paying more for it. The only way it can work is by laying off software engineers and saving money on their salaries.

Another thing to pay attention to is the margins of hardware companies like nvidia or micron. Hyperscalers are spending huge amount of money but the money mostly goes to the profits of hardware companies.

The ethnic composition of countries in Europe is definitely changing do I can't see how this can be "manufactured".

The current way too write software is too just ask the ai do it. StackOverflow will be soon mostly irrelevant completely.

There's no guarantee it'll generate big enough returns and it's probably at jacked up prices.

A terrible slopped website. They could have put a bit more effort into an actual design.

Three years ago the ai struggled to write a single function correctly.

They have huge margins and can absorb price increases of some of the components.

There's no point volunteering free time just to deal with slop.

These low level details have become unimportant since the ai can generate and debug them well imo.
