Ex-Elastic here. At Xata, we've built a company with many of the things we loved about Elastic's culture, and several former Elasticians are already on the team. We're currently hiring Backend Engineers, a Product Marketing Lead, and a Head of Product. If you're interested (or know someone who might be), send us a message!

Xata | Backend Engineer | Remote (Europe or East Coast US) | Full-time

Xata is building Postgres for agentic workloads.

As AI agents become software’s newest users, they need isolated Postgres environments to experiment, test, and execute safely. We enable companies to create Postgres branches instantly, giving every agent its own environment with production-like data.

We're hiring Backend Engineers to join our Control Plane, Data Plane, or Storage teams.

We're looking for engineers who enjoy building distributed systems, have strong backend development skills, and are highly self-directed. You should be comfortable taking ownership of projects and driving them from idea to production. Experience with Go, Rust, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, or storage systems is a plus.
