It does seem like you are making light of tragedy. Previous comment is also a joke.

I agree, it sucks, but not because of social media and smartphones. It sucks because: - almost nobody is talking about climate change. It is coming, and instead of being a big gigantic project for humanity where we have a collective and cool purpose (save lives! Species!), you are called a doomer. The collective purpose of humanity is to bow to billionaires. - fascism rising everywhere. Laws don’t matter - the US president is a gigantic liar, racist, narcissist, incredible corrupt, and has lots of people around him that are fine with that too. Other governments are following his ways too. Being verbally and physically violent pays. - billionaires openly control governments and influence the world - said billionaires openly say that AI will destroy millions of jobs or humanity itself, and offer no alternative. BUT if you, a normal person, wants to put some kind of control to all of this madness, you are again a doomer and anti progress

You don’t have to sit through it. It just asks the player to slow down and listen for just an hour. If something, it makes you better in general by just listening to a fantastic talk by Brian Moriarty, that’s the achievement.

It is the opposite: he wants the variations to be different and interesting. There are no repetitive puzzles in The Witness or Braid. There are themes, but each puzzle is unique.

> And yours isn’t?

Many people trust the government for policing, military, central banking. Some not. Many trust them for health care and education, many not.

Very very few don’t trust the government for anything. So for this random example, a dating service, it feels like it’s ideological conditioning (otherwise the OP would explain why it feels bad for them).

No, Spacex is different because of engineering. By being able to reuse rockets they can launch frequently (every week?). By launching frequently they can measure and improve the rockets, so reliability goes up and price down.

The money is being spent because Trump cannot admit that he lost at something. He knows his approval is extremely low, so he prefers chaos and say “they cheated, I didn’t lose”

It’s not ironic. Once you remove the biggest danger (fast cars), fast bikes take the top spot.

The Boeing 787 has a bleedless system. It uses dedicated electric compressors for the cabin air.

ARC was basically avoiding typing retain/release when using Cocoa libraries. If you don’t want to use ARC in Swift, use Unmanaged.

Same for autolayout, just use view frames and bounds if you want.

And Interface Builder comes all the way from Next.

No, Windows 95 had memory protection for 32-bit apps. Usually when a 32-bit app crashed, the rest of the OS worked fine.
