My job is easier than ever. Im never tired or completely drained when i get off work.

I used to grind so hard, but now it's so chill. I don't mind this change.

The main thing i dislike is how much my profession has been devalued. Code is worth so little now. It's sad.

Using AI and wanting low carbon energy are not mutually exclusive.

It sucks that many providers are not able to be carbon neutral, but this should be solved by electricity providers. Not consumers.

programming languages may just be a really good abstraction level to describe what you want.

codex is also open source, though im not so sure about the reputation aspect.

The same can be said about opencode though.

This is once again RLHF loops.

the AI labs are and have been 100% focused on correctness because it is easy to setup and validate.

Adding one more function that almost does the same thing as another will not break anything.

I think this is just a matter of time. At some point there'll be less value to squeeze out of correctness and then the AI labs will start focusing on maintainability. It's probably a lot harder to set up environment to Train for this behavior though.

Except horizontal scaling.

But a lot of companies are trying to solve that, notably multigres, neki and even pgdog.

Openrouter is super well positioned in the market.

I've always believed in staying model agnostic and being able to jump around providers as their intelligence, cost per intelligence and/or latency issues arise.

Openrouter will win as long as there is competition in the market

Maybe after double digit million death count.

Or just a rogue country that's being hit by the crisis more than others

Super happy to see someone take on slack. We just want a performant chat with simple features.

Slack integrations are overrated. Just give me webhooks.

I cannot believe they're sticking to their guns on this website design. It's awful.
