You people always have to preface with "...I'm always for regulation and government interference...but".

You don't seem to understand the definitions of "convicted" and "community".

Forfeiture is a scummy thing by the feds, but I'll take a 2017 vette with those bitcoins.

How tired are you after a days of works. Many of us are mentally drained, which we feel as physically drained after work.

Not only that, but physical activity plus our mental strain screws with our cortisol levels.

Personally, I used to work out a lot. Then I realized I was getting crabby all the time. I think I have cortisol problems, but not sure.

Anybody refer me to research with stress and and physical workouts and not getting enough sleep?

yes, it'll be a slow slog, but Americans aren't stupid and understand that fully autonomous roads are controlled by government and bad.

That's a good point. Singapore is an autocratic state and very small.

It'll be decades (maybe a century) before Americans give up their right to freely drive their cars.

The are huge individual american rights to move around freely that can't be denied.

"the right" didn't invent "global warming"....the left did.

Listen, maybe, or maybe not, there is man-made global warming, but when the left calls for the death-penalty for global warming "denialists", then we know it's the official religion of the left.

The politics of "global warming" is too intertwined with leftist political agenda.

You people can keep on being "denialists" about that in public, we know its true.

Global Warming coincides with leftist economic/political policies very neatly. That can't be denied.

In many large ways, it’s almost as if we have collectively stopped planning for the future.

We never did "collectively plan" for the future, nor should we.

In the mid-late 90s, when I started writing C++, I had a gut instinct that methods and data shouldn't be encapsulated together. I couldn't explain why though.

Rich Hickey started clarifying it for me a little though. I can't dig up the interview he did, but he talked about classes being mini-DSLs and hindering reuse. That makes sense to me.

I much prefer generic functions and multi-dispatch in Common Lisp's CLOS and the new language Stanza - it just seems more flexible.

But generally, I want to think about data transformations and not little "machines" (objects) doing things things to their state internally.

So Spain isn't Germany, but I'm curious why even in the midwest (St. Louis no less), senior developers easily command $120k+.

But I guess this also goes to the point why SV is only playing "normal" senior developers $150k/yr?

Unless you're really digging the Bay Area lifestyle (or "I'll get my chance in the next cool startup), why even bother.
