Free speech cannot exist with free speech and so a line is drawn. That line is that a person can say whatever they want but they cannot force people to listen. Forcing people to listen to free speech violates free speech. You don't deserve a platform for free speech.

Postman has become so bloated in the past two years to a degree where I don’t enjoy using it anymore. Anyone know of an alternative that keeps it simple?

In my experience, that’s the exact sort of errors that a QA team our position tests for.

How's it different from a generation that grew up with books?

There was a time when women weren't allowed to play professional soccer. It can't not have a sexist history.

> Female soccer players make less money because less people watch and there is less money

I think this is a great example! The US women's soccer team is better than the men's but they make a fraction of the money. It's not their fault that sports have a sexist history that influences viewership, ad revenue, and ultimately their salaries.

I use both and have contributed to the IntelliJ extension. I haven’t noticed any functional difference between the two extensions and they both fit all my use cases.

How dare you assume that this is something we can change! These men are discussing numbers and figures and you’re out here with ideas that defy statistics!

I was enjoying the irony of reading the article on safari only to have it cut off so they can ask me for my personal information to track me.

Alternatively, if you do tell the offending internal app to stop via the system toggle, it stops.

It’s ridiculous you were down voted for this. These people don’t want to change their behavior or admit there’s bias. They would rather remain ignorant and pretend that it’s a problem caused by someone else rather than reflect on what might not be working.

When faced with criticism about your lack of inclusivity, what's to gain by doubling down in order to intentionally exclude people? The argument you are presenting always feels disingenuous because you imply that there is something lost in the efforts to be more inclusive.

The idea that you care about the growth of people you are actively excluding doesn't make a whole lot of sense. In this example we're talking about word choice. The over-sensitivity from my point of view is in the person who takes offense that someone criticized their language and refuses to adapt out of some feigned interest for the disadvantaged party. The parent succinctly critiqued the word choice of the author and offered an alternative that doesn't detract from the message in the slightest.

The lowest common denominator is the person who throws their arms up when offered valid criticism.

It seems like you're admitting to critiquing something you've no experience or understanding of in an effort to diminish the experiences of those of us who claim to experience the world differently. It's entirely possible and even probable that your VR experience simply comes nowhere close to mimicking gender dysphoria.
