I don’t think I’ve seen more than 10 Subarus in Europe.

I laughed when he showed the slide that Hey could run on a single Raspberry Pi.

Not the flex you think it is, Dave!

>Everyone's app should just be an API that you can use with a chatbot.

I see this sentiment a lot, but UI has a greater purpose than just serving the customer needs, it also be used to shape them.

Imagine if instead of going to the grocery store, you called a number and told them what you needed. Sometimes you don't know everything you need. Sometimes you end up discovering something new and buying it even if you didn't plan on it.

they've started to get a big bulge on the top-left of the device and no longer sit flat on a table. Oh and they popularized silicon cases that dont go in or out of pockets.

You said "you can't" (live in the bay, anymore, on less than 200k). The bay is bigger than SF.

You're moving the goalposts here now to make it seem like the baseline-acceptable lifestyle for someone in the Bay is to live directly in San Francisco and have a short commute in a desirable area with adequate space.

By the way, the Bay is bigger than SF. People commute from Milbrae, Daly City, Richmond into SF every day by train and it takes less than an hour.

Looking at Zillow, there are 64 2-bedroom apartments in SF alone for <= $4k. If you expand your search out of the city the number becomes much higher...

So the solution to convince the public that these companies aren’t “looking for new ways to screw them over” is to try to go into biomedical research.

I guess it’ll be great for Anthropic to have the cure for cancer, but what’s that gonna mean for people with cancer? Funny how he doesn’t talk about that part.

my point is, in germany it takes longer than a test to get your license, unlike the US.

45 minutes? In Germany getting your license takes most people around a year and costs thousands of euros.

> What action can Iran take today that they couldn’t take a year ago?

Remove of sanctions, ability to monitize traffic through the strait, guarantees against aggression and a cessation of military bases in their region. IMO, a much stronger position than they were in a year ago.

Every cost is disconnected from the value it generates. Do you pay the price for gasoline, electricity, or food based on the value it provides you?

Wasn't this always the idea behind combating inflation? At the end of the day you need to make people poorer to make the dollar worth more...
