What do you mean by the use of the triple parentheses?

Anthropic and OpenAI aren't the only ways to use LLMs. There are plenty of LLMs where you can download the weights and run them locally. There are even others that you can train yourself (see the LLM360 family).

I remember this was also used by SN Systems (Sony at the time) as the frontend in their C++ compiler for systems like the PS Vita and PS3.

I think it's probably irrelevant in this age of Clang a) existing and b) being everywhere but it still feels like the end of an era.

I have an X230 which was upgraded with a quad-core CPU (i7-3612qe), 16gb RAM, SSD, and 1080p screen, and it makes a pretty decent around-the-house laptop. I'd rate it pretty highly; it's not quite as fast as my 6th gen X1 Carbon but the X1 is starting to get quite flaky.

Also as the Hawker Siddley (later BAe) Nimrod maritime surveillance aircraft.

It’s like saying “I no longer read or write assembly”; you are still solving problems but you are able to work in a higher level space to do it.

If only fucking Zoominfo would integrate with these whitelists.

Canada has a national do-not-call list and that hasn't stopped me from getting hit multiple times a week by startup sales reps.

I have depression, clinically treated with SSRIs. My exercise regimen now is 8-10 hours a week of swimming, cycling, and running. I find that the exercise helps lift my mood a lot, but also if I lose my ability to exercise it is far less catastropic to my mental health than if I stop taking the SSRIs.

My exercise volume varies throughout the year because of physical health concerns (sickness, injury, combination of the two), and I notice it and will become mopey, but it's far from the crippling anxiety and depression that sets in if I miss my SSRIs for a few days.

But this is just anecdata, treat accordingly.

>Regardless, it had always seemed pretty clear to me that it was never about efficiency anyway.

Nope, it was about looting the government's data and delivering retribution to perceived enemies (ie: USAID).

Because in C everything is unsafe, by definition.

What a complete own goal. I wouldn't want to have anything to do with Zig if there's a chance the head of the ZSF writes a blog that contains a substantial portion of unsubstantiated, unattributed personal attacks directed toward me.

Maybe Jarred wasn't easy to work with, but that doesn't mean that it's a good idea to publicly air all the dirty laundry. He at least seemed to have his heart in the right place by donating a substantial amount to the project.
