If you have good test coverage, and the tests are reliable, then what's the problem?
If your engineering culture is bad already and you don't have good test coverage or they're flaky or whatever then that is different. If that is the case, it is probably from smart-ass attitudes like yours asking these "clever" rhetorical questions to derail people trying to improve things that led it to be like that. Do everyone a favour and keep your mouth shut and let people fix things.
I go past a Mac store in London frequently. It is usually very very busy ... apart from their VR headset table that has exactly zero people at it. Its become a bit of a joke for me now to see if there is ever a single customer there. Seems like more than 15billion USD well spent!
Or my favourite entire IP ranges or whole ISPs blocked because eighteen years ago someone used a sock puppet account from their and there is no recourse because the High Doge has decreed it from their throne in Moderator Palazzo - you can appeal but the lord chief's decision is FINAL, and they're all too busy infighting and empire building to care about such trivia as users anyway
"Hey we are launching this thing but we've got to let the safety folks see it first".
So they look like they care about alignment etc.
To be honest there is a lot of rage on here about it being announced before being able to access it. I don't understand why people are getting so upset about this - like no one gets into a rage because they see a movie trailer before it is released?
But to be honest I am now not sure if Argon was the flash model and this Carbon is pro? It's very confusing.
Is Argon "pro" and Carbon "ultra"?
Is Argon obsolete now? Does Carbon replace it or live alongside of it?
Very confusing naming!

Vast majority of cameras in the UK are privately owned and not hooked up to the police thought crime system.
E.g. some critical security vulnerability that is not backported to the library/compiler/runtime you are using in production, or you can't get spare parts for your servers any more so need to upgrade to something newer but you can't run your old OS version on new hardware so you have to upgrade the OS too and now it's dropped support for foo etc etc. Lots of things pile up.
