I did not want to sound rude, sorry for the lack of tone. I am happy for you that you managed to craft a "fits like a glove" solution for yourself.

However, while I would love to use such an environment on my desktops, I'd rather use something that is handmade and properly maintained rather than someone's personal tool.

Have to agree with this view.

I would love to have a proper retro-looking GUI on my distros that isn't a patchwork over XFCE, but not pure slop.

There are DOS drivers for AmigaOS, IIRC they were even bundled from 2.x on. There are some mashups between the architectures (Vortex cards for Mega STe, Amiga Sidecars...) but they were either expensive or unsuccessful.

>As a company they seem to be stuck in 8-bit mode.

Because there never was "one" Atari company, there were several eras behind the name (summed up) :

* the "Bushnell" Atari (Atari Inc.) that made the original Xyzzy/Atari arcade games & groundwork on the VCS ;

* the "Warner" Atari ("a Warner Communications Company") that brought you the VCS and 8 bit until the XLs & 5800 ;

* the "Tramiel" Atari (Atari Corporation) that brought you the XE and most importantly the ST, which was the last attempt at "computers for the masses" ;

* the "Infogrames" Atari (Atari SA) which is a completely different company gathering the copyright ashes from the Jaguar überfail and attempting to reunite the whole Atari Games/Midway mess ;

* the "current" Atari (Atari Inc, legally under Atari SA) which is overtly focusing on retrogaming & funding initiatives like Nightdive remasters.

During the end of the Corporation era (after sacrificing the Falcon & Sparrow project in favor of the Jaguar, which is arguably the worst mistake they ever made), they made some PC clones, but as someone said : too little, too late.

Obviously since it was initially an Investronica (local Sinclair distributor) initiative.

Not really in UK or other European countries (besides the Amstrad almost-knockoff).

The title expected me to see the common 48k model, not the rarer 128k one. The paper itself says "a stock 128Kb Spectrum" which is confusing for those who weren't aware of this model.

Small nitpick, but the ZX Spectrum 128k itself is not the base 48k model :)

Square Enix is known for having little to no archive of its past : KH1 is not the first occurence of lost source in their library.

Best news of the past few days.

This is one of the protos that's been held hostage in the Stamper's collection.

Steam used to be steamgames.com, too.

Isn't that wholesale which does not always land to customer sales? Honestly I don't know much about all of this.

Yeah that was a quick sumup based on the fact that the parent was not posting in good faith. Thanks for the precision.

No it's not. It was the most sold during March, but that's it.

Local sources (https://www.autohome.com.cn/hangye/showroom/) tend to show that it's Xiaomi / Geely that's leading the race in 2026.

Additionally, sales numbers doesn't correlate with the brand image of Tesla : it is a luxury brand, no matter how you put it.

It's been scalped on announcement, sadly. Sold out everywhere.
