Freezing prevents the stolen tokens from being used. Is there a mechanism to return the stolen tokens to the (presumed) owner?

Interested to understand how this would work in a decentralised accounting mechanism.

"Win the election for <color>" is Gerrymandle's standard text, and the color changes for each daily puzzle.

Gerrymandle interchanges the number of candidates: sometimes two, sometimes three, sometimes more

It's been reported that the automated system had failed, so trains were being routed and instructed manually.

Apparently the PC (well, the disk-drive) needed to be moved to the lowest level possible such as a basement, where the earth's magnetic field is strongest.

That way when it was formatted, you could take it upstairs and the weaker magnetic field meant the disk's magnetic structure was stronger so it could be read.

This also caused the early-days meme of computer geeks being "basement dwellers".

There's hundreds of years (if not thousands) of shipwrecks, from which we can interpret their effect on the underwater environment.

Unless there are pollutants involved, the wreck is generally a net positive for biodiversity and provides an attractive area for marine life.

Probably less useful for large-scale commercial fishers, due to the risk of the net(s) snagging on the ship.

The explanation is that Vegemite's characteristics (high yeast content, viscosity and strong smell) can be abused to break other jail prohibitions.

The yeast could be used to brew alcohol, and the viscosity and strong smell could be used to hide drugs and misdirect sniffer dogs.

Log4J was nearly ubiquitous; not quite the full reach of Java, but deployed to a significant proportion of public-facing Java platforms and services.

Boiling water taps like Quooker and similar are pretty good.

There's a limit: you can fill a medium saucepan with boiling water, but large/industrial-kitchen pans will exhaust the boiling water and you'll need to wait for the next batch.

It's fine for general household use.

Air-gapping is a start.

Critical National Infrastructure should go further, as Iran found out with Stuxnet.

And yes: Tolkien, Dune, Pratchett, Douglas Adams, Asimov/Foundation, McCaffrey/Pern, Janny Wurts, Raymond E Feist, and more recently Brandon Sanderson, Patrick Rothfuss, and Melissa McPhail (who sadly passed away, with the Pattern of Shadow and Light incomplete).
