Sounds like a recipe for burnout. I've tried a few times picking up a new language in my free time, but since I program for work it made my days feel 3 hours longer.

I've started picking up hobbies unrelated to programming, it's much easier to spend the time learning something completely different.

It was a pattern based script, all the tokens had the same length.

At my work one of my coworkers accidentally put a secret token in a GitHub issue. Couple hours later he got an email from the sysadmin at the parent company saying his token finding script went off. He probably wouldn't have noticed for a long while if that script wasn't running.

I don't think Chipotle is just perceived as healthier, you're eating real food rather than meat mix from McDonalds.

So all companies related to gas technology should just close up shop? Something that may or may not work is on the horizon, so all the engineers that have been researching gas technology for years should throw in the towel and quit? There is no chance that electric overtakes gas in 5 years.

That's pretty intentional. A venue really doesn't care how many people go, they care that the show gets "sold out".

A couple of my friends are scalpers. They said there's a limit of 8 tickets for most shows per address, but if you walk in with thousands of dollars in cash that limit goes away. Online it's a little different since you need to put your address in for your credit card, but there's plenty of ways to get multiple addresses with your name for credit cards.

They make more than me as a software engineer, but they can easily lose thousands if a show doesn't pan out. They follow tours across the US and hope they find "the one" that makes them rich.

What about stagecoach drivers? Bread makers? Blacksmiths? Switchboard operator? What did all these people do when their services were no longer necessary / greatly diminished?

It's not like by Friday automated trucking will take over. You know it's coming, and if you don't start learning new skills or look for new work, then you're just ignorant to technology and will be out of a job.

Housing data is public after you close on your house. What's there to be annoyed about?

Yeah the website definitely needs some work. It looks like a side project with a few articles, and then you realize agentzh is the owner of like all the commits to make openresty useful. It's like that rundown restaurant that you keep going back to because the food is so good.

Potential energy is not energy that you can give to a payload unless you want to have it fall 100km back to earth.
