Where do you run in to this? I switched from Chrome to Safari about 5 years ago and can count the number of websites I’ve had issues with on one hand, I think.

>For instance, what labor laws apply?

The laws of the worker's locality is generally how it works. In the film industry, a production company based in LA might do a shoot in NYC- they have to follow NYC's labor laws since that's where the workers are and the work is being done.

The workers at the home base in LA have the LA laws applied to them.

>And who enforces them?

The local government.

There’s some weirdness with the UFC’s struggle at the time.

The Fertitta brothers are who actually bought it. Before owning the UFC, Lorenzo Fertitta was on (maybe the head?) of the Nevada State Athletic Commission- the very body who were refusing to sanction UFC events at the time, and the most important governing body in the combat sports world.

Obviously the UFC was hurting bad at that time since they couldn’t be sanctioned, were getting booted from arenas they booked, and were getting dropped by Pay Per View carriers. This decimated their value and the Fertittas scooped up the company for a song.

All of a sudden, now that they owned it, the sanctioning bodies agreed on a set of unified MMA rules, the UFC was re-sanctioned, and they started selling PPVs again.

It was actually quite a success from the very beginning. Their troubles were likely imposed on them by their prospective buyers in order to get the sale done, and all they and Dana White did really were take their foot off the company’s neck.

The constitution applies to all people under US jurisdiction. It only specifies a few citizen-only rights, like voting.

I think you misread. There is nothing transformative about bittorrent automatically sharing parts of a file you're downloading with your peers.

I don’t think you understood the question.

Is their membership in this silly club the defining characteristic of either man? What does this have to do with their presidential platforms?

Giant Douche vs Turd Sandwich, the epitome of "both sides are the same." John Kerry would not have invaded Iraq on false pretenses. He wouldn't have perma-fucked the budget with his massive tax cuts for the rich. The GWB administration was a disaster and these guys pretended they were equivalent.

ManBearPig lambasted the very idea of climate change as laughable, and anyone who cared about it was a pussy liberal loser. They have recently walked this back, but the damage is done.

Overall they contributed to the perception that sincerity and earnestness are lame and the only way to appear cool and enlightened is to be a cynic.

This is why I stopped watching as well. They really set the table for conservative populists to feast. I resent them tremendously.

You would need radiators that are like hundreds of miles wide to cool a data center in space.

Bizarre article on a bizarrely designed website.

Very interesting, thanks for the read. Your comment touches on what I’m talking about- specifically the massive new challenges introduced by rapidly increasing graphical abilities of computers and the demand from consumers to see that in all new titles.
