Too much backstabbing from legacy employees inside amazon to allow for grassroots innovation. Good work will get stolen or stamped out by coworkers. Vicious employee base intent on collecting their paychecks

arguably the meeting overhead is actually just people trading domain knowledge. an ai agent can go read their whole code base instead of having that meeting. its not clear how all this shakes out

Alot of people with legacy knowledge that pitch in sometimes, but are mostly blocking others work/playing politics all day

Or they wont stop talking in meetings, but produce no real work

Are knowledge graphs still relevant? Agents can grep and fetch on a unix operating system with higher accuracy

opus 5.5 is a step change, you arent using the models enough if you think there is a slowdown

Blatantly obvious that models will not slow down. For any task, if we can build a dataset or environment of verifications, it can be automated. This will eat all of human tasks.

The fact that multiple companies can breach any benchmark means there is no ambiguity in terms of how to build AI, its just a matter of time.

Certainly Meta and Google are benchmaxxing to please public markets, but it still proves the above

Fable 5.1 is better than most engineers if prompted correctly

Amazon is so hopelessly behind in AI, nothing they produce aside from cloud infrastructure is actually good

The big threat to AWS is that coding agents dont need all of their complicated infrastructure, which was built for humans. Agents can use low level primitives, i.e. just a raw server

question is if they ever let the general public access borderline AGI

Amazon cant hold this off for the long run, nobody wants to scroll through a list of two hundred near identical packages of toilet paper. Agents will intermediate, and they will remove demand for low value items

I strongly believe that the real Fable is the one we had for a few days in June. Then they nerfed the model a bit after the government pulled it off the market. What we have now is something less, but still good

unreal that they are still doing it too

US policy:

1. print money

2. suppress wages by shipping in cheap labor

3. reassure the population you arent doing the above
