Charles Proxy (paid version) No need to insert logging into legacy codebases with frontend, service, and monolithic backend apps while on local. Just load up Charles and reconfigure provider URLs to route through the proxy, add a filter or two, and boom, all comms are visible in one place, easily searchable, exportable, replayable.

It can be a memory hog when left running ,and I wish I could "pop out" portions of the UI to reorganize on my screen.

Otherwise, indispensable to my work the last couple of years.

Add another sentence. Preface with your actual reaction. The subtext can be avoided better being explicit than being clever with your wording.

They're interchangeable depending on what literature you read. Funnily enough, like ATM machine, DIP package can be redundant, being equivalent to "dual in-line package package".

Asking questions gives the opportunity to regain the organic flow of conversation. If done genuinely, with actual curiosity, it's easy to appreciate the slight awkwardness as a helpful nudge to continued connection.

This is right. "Building websites" is what all the low-priced developers do. Differentiate yourself, be reliable, and solve real business problems with code.

This is the result of poor tactics. If you're not a CS grad, quit the CS grad hiring path.

Get off the job boards and use services like Vettery and Hired, do outreach on LinkedIn with recruiters and startup CTOs/VP Engineering/Engineering Leads, go to more popular tech meetups consistently and network. Every job I've gotten has been through this.

You're right. It's about our thinking. You and I. It's Alan Kay's quote he wants to shout. We need to get better at our solutions, and how we share them.

"There really is no fast-forward button to mastery – behind every step forward may be a couple steps backward – but slowly, it is earned."

Worth the read by the end.

Interesting! I journal a ton, and love the act of putting pen to paper, but daily wish I could write as fast as I think.
