It's a fascinating time to launch a new code editor. I haven't properly used one for months (except some small .env changes and the like). Even Zed seems to be moving away from the "editor" part, into Delta.

That's one way to ensure Tailwind v4 remains forever the only version anyone uses. Agents already are not very responsive to framework changes.

Luckily, Tailwind is, and likely always will be, a block at the very top. Not a critical piece of infrastructure.

I'll do that once any of the top 4 AI chatbots says they'll start making requests with this header. Before that it's just a neat idea with no adoption.

I also think it's exceedingly unlikely that any of the top 4 chatbots would choose to load websites this way. Too many risks for a 0.01% adoption even years later.

Unrelated, but since I see that the author posted this to HN: for a reader like me who likes to select text / fidget with mouse clicks as I read, this website is a nightmare.

Totally makes sense, macOS Golden Gate will no longer run x64 apps.

tbf they turned previous ChatGPT macOS app into Codex, so getting a "new" Codex user might mean someone using ChatGPT just updated their app.

Amazing, exactly what Workers lacked, I was quite annoyed that a worker would spin up when 99% of my requests then return a cache. Waste of 3ms, times millions.

I'm not a native speaker (Eastern Europe), and my scores are 20, 20, 17, 18, 15 - more aligned to your native speaker model.

> Known generative-AI crawlers are disallowed in robots.txt. This is a research catalogue assembled from primary sources; it is not training data, and a model fine-tuned on these paragraphs would launder out exactly the part — the citations — that gives the prose its value.

This reads like distaste for LLMs - but generally website reads (and is designed as!) very LLMy.

Feels like CoffeeScript for C, in the best way

I always knew that egg came first.

Do you think it would be possible to achieve 1:1 ELO:bytes? Even smaller, but can be less smart.

Is there enough of new blood on HN? For me it was the best place, my favorite website, when I was entering startup scene. Loved it. I don't think a lot of young founders I know ever go here...
