they’ll probably get Congress, and hopefully the presidency in 2028. then they have two years to convince the people who begrudgingly voted for them that they’re doing well, all while those people sit down and watch Fox News every night tell them how awful everything is now.

raspberry pi has turned into a rich nerd “gotta collect them all” scheme, not a cheap entry level computer for young hackers.

turns out, they’re into it. they were in favor of it in the 60’s and still are.

the 2nd amendment (the entire Bill of Rights) was written to protect us from our own government, but it’s way more convenient to just shoot brown people or people who speak a different language.

I think we’ll see a pivot from the right on solar soon, once they realize how cheap it is and how much money they can make. They’ll spin it as home-grown local jobs stuff but regardless it’s a win-win.

  > It is estimated that each inspection will take six work hours and cost $510 per aircraft, putting the cost across the US fleet at over $1 million, not including the price of replacement parts.
trivial, to ensure that hundreds of people don’t die, so of course several airlines pushed back on the requirement.

but its a stock split, he’s getting one new share for every old share with the expectation that the share price halves, at least according to their CFO on the earnings call.

i wish they would ban additional “rules” in the check in/out instructions. all rules should be up front before booking or after booking with free 24 cancellation or something.

  > Or, it could just be that Meta’s automated systems suck.
“Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity”. I don't think people acknowledge how often shit like this happens.

It’s not surprising. The people voting for these regulation cuts spend their whole lives in air conditioned boxes (be it their mass built houses, their massive cars, or the office), and their idea of nature is a well manicured golf course. the people they vote on only care about enriching themselves and their corporate donors.

at some point we’ll be living in a dust bowl eating barely nutritious food and people will think “man, how could the liberals have done this to us?”

Spoiler it’s not social media anymore, it’s just media.

This is a really poorly written article. Yes, they keep a memory; that’s the point. What use would a personal assistant be if you had to give it your full life context in every chat?

If you have issues with this, especially when it’s a Meta product, then don’t use it. But this isn’t anything open claw wasn’t doing.
