Afaik it's used more for circumventing anti-bot measures and solving challenges than the download handling itself.

Speaking for Germany: there have been 3.5 years of center-left governance in the last 21 years and you blame them for all the issues?

Do you have a source for the cost benefit? Any lifecycle assessment I find says that Lithium is cheaper.

> it's become easier than ever to make serious performance gains

Is that true and if yes why? I was under the impression that it would become more difficult over time to make serious performance gains, which would also fit with reaching for benchmark hacking rather than relying on natural gains.

I really don't get why there isn't more work put into making LLM generated prose less bad. Or is it just not possible?

'Release note' as a genre shouldn't be too hard to train? Especially when there are already a plethora of release notes of the same project.

I'd be more interested why there seem to be fresh charred bodies in the morning.

No, it's just not a liberal-extremist argument.

Pretty sure USB-C being on a sub-board only applies to t480s not t480.

On virtually all t480's I've seen having a broken USB-C port it was only the left one (some people don't even realize there are two!) so you can charge using the second one and since it has thunderbolt you could connect a dock and both charge and have e.g. a monitor on one port(obviously?).

On my current t480 I also succeeded in slightly bending the port shell tighter and using a USB-C cable with tighter tolerances to get the port to be usable for charging again, but it's a not guaranteed trial and error solution.

there's both the bad firmware issue and ports physically failing on a lot of t480s

Please explain how more flights with optimal routing are environmentally cheaper than less flights with optimal routing.

No I don't know this. Do you have any source for that?

So I assume you know that tangled being ATProto-based was the reason for going there?

And please explain how it's not a choice when they are still on GitHub.

I'd love to hear why they chose a VC funded forge over e.g. Codeberg.

Doesn't really fit the 'friendly language' claim IMO
