You can't trust a quick google search nowadays for anything. I work in Germany. Any engineer making that much money has to be a senior at a higher position with loads of responsibilities (which means the average is nowhere near), plus living in a city that is considered expensive. Also, half that money goes to taxes. (someone has to pay for the universal healthcare afterall)

I already have Jev fatigue.

My comment included EVE Vanguard. I tried it. As someone who played FPS all his life starting from Quake 1 and Wolfenstein 3D, and all the AA and AAA FPS that came afterwards, EVE Vanguard feels like a money laundering scheme at this point. Nowadays a single person with access to he SOTA AI models and engines like Unreal, can make a much better and polished game in less time. It's gonna be an absolute DoA. The only reasons CCP is still able to operate is the addicts (mostly old men with no other hobby) that has spent thousands upon thousands on their accounts can't let go.

I started more than 15 years ago and recently got back into it. I would say that game has stagnated a lot more, character numbers may seem like it isn't that low but in reality most people who play it has around 5 accounts which they multibox with. So number of actual people who play it went really down. It is looking bleak for the future, and i can confidently say that it is all CCP's fault (called Fenris Creations now). They started aiming for short term gains and they probably realized themselves long ago it won't last so they started investing in other IP's but they were all mega failures so far.

I do use Tailscale myself to connect many of my devices. So I am a bit confused, what does this add over regular Tailscale? Excuse my lack of knowledge in this area.

The tool itself (AI) may not be reliable, but that is also very true for every other tool (e.g. Human). Also, you are right about when a problem is solved, but this doesn't need the tool to be reliable as you said, just the solution part. Hence, as long as the produced code works as intended, it doesn't matter what you used to produce the output.

Does the whisper model allow for entering context(which improves the accuracy greatly) as it does on Whisper.cpp?

To direct a whole industry towards where you want to.

Anyone tried this with vLLM yet? I am confused on how to turn this on tbh.

The live demo doesn't work in Brave.

I don't understand this take. If government forces these companies to have age verification and they can't say no, then this can be applied to any of these counter-examples given too; Matrix, IRC, etc. There is no difference between forcing a single entity vs. multiple entities. If the punishment for non-compliance is high, no-one will risk doing it anyway. There is no escape here.

English is the international language. It is mandatory to learn it as the second language in most parts of the world, even places you never heard of. It is especially a no-brainer for a person who grew up in Germany(which is one of the most developed countries in the world, and definitely has the means to educate its own people). Again, this is a problem of choice. And since Germany is a country that relies on importing educated people to keep its economy afloat, choices like these are self-sabotaging.

This isn't an english-speaking-forum, its an international one. That is the reason English is being spoken.

I get why the French is still angry about this issue and refuses to speak English, since it isn't French that is considered the international language, but English.

I wouldn't expect a French to understand this though.

Because the State wants to attract well educated international workers to fix it's failing economy?

Because even in countries less developed(by western standards), there are more English announcements, so visiting tourists can also use the public transport. This isn't lack of speaking the language as well, it is more about not wanting to speak another language because "In Deutschland muss man Deutsch sprechen." It is reaching French level of racism at this point. Funny for a country that wants to attract so many international expats.

It is irrelevant whether we can separate the art from the artist, especially in this matter, when both the art and the artist are bad.
