I have managed to get 38-48% the times I tried. I believe I might have been influenced by the article I just read. It would be interesting to see if by giving people advice on statics it would produce, on average, a measurably different outcome.

Sublime text is what notepad++ wished to be. There are many tasks that do not require a full IDE, not even vscode and sublime just works. Always, consistently, reliably works, is fast and a joy to use.

So interesting. The dark theme on chrome mobile can obscure this easily, so I was unaware of the replacements.

It is possible to back up the WhatsApp folder if using Android, with the likes of total commander or any other file browser.

It can then be decrypted with a simple access to the _sim card_, i.e. a way to receive a message, meaning that anything backed up to Google drive should not considered safe from a dedicated state actor (even if the other party did it). It is quite easy to demonstrate with a new phone or an emulator.

I have doubts on how much the US gov needs to break the Whisper protocol when they have such easy to get side attacks.

I was looking for something like this in order to plant on a urban brownfield in my are that needs to be recultivated. I would like to add the plants for the area, as they are not in the database. Would you be able to recommend where I would be able to to find these? I did not find it in the readme. If there is a specific procedure to follow (i.e. referencing botanical texts), it would benefit from being added. Thanks!

I am trying to develop a CO2 monitor specifically for older classrooms with no central air exchange with some friends. CO2 monitors already exist but none are actually optimized for this specific case.

Our device has an easy traffic light system, and a tailored guide to ventilation based on the shape and size of the room.

For Jira, recursion would make sense, for Slack, it depends. For our team of about 30 people, the lack of recursion in threads has been mostly positive.

I guess that the ability to toggle recursion on or off might be helpful.

Slack depends heavily on the vulture that you build around it. I've been in companies where it was either everything in the specific channel (Discord like)/dm only, and in others, where threads have worked wonders. What caused this?

Different people at the wheel making decisions on how we will all use it, and encouraging the structure.

Thank you for this tool. We have been looking at shamir schemes in our org for encrypting backup, and decided against it for the reasons of being too complicated. Maybe it is time to revisit it again.

Because dolphins are also substantially less affected by the day/night cycle. It is more energy intensive to hunt in the dark (less heat, less light), unless you are specifically optimized for it.

I, on the other hand strongly resonate with this post. I am not a programmer by profession, but a programmer by need - I write tools to get stuff done, and this is exactly the missing link. I am able to craft algorithms, architectures and focus on the UI, and llms (mostly Claude) allow me to write the low-level that needs to be written that I inspect. What used to take days takes hours and allows us to solve issue we were previously not able to in our org.

I think that something specifically intended for this, like Anubis, is a much better option.

That's not entirely true - they are leaving the data centers themselves, and also all the trained models. These are already used

I am surprised nobody mentioned the Qidi printers. They are the perfect balance between tinkerability and reliability (but see below - QA varies), and have open firmware. They are the only ones that currently compete with Bambu in high-temperature materials. These will outperform PC/Nylon and can also print advanced stuff as PPS, especially on the new Q2.

Now, for their QA - it is not on par with Prusa or Bambu, however, there are a few tips to avoid the pitfalls. 1. If buying the Plus 4, buy the US version of possible. The EU models are older units with a faulty part. 2. Buy from places that offer returns. If the printer is faulty, you can always return it 3. If something breaks, document and send to support. Expect free replacement parts shipped within a week.

By following the above, you will get an extremely capable printer at a fraction of a cost of a Bambu, with offline modes, open source FW a great community and hotend capabilities that are virtually unparalleled and venture into engineering grade machines.

Happy printing :)

Well, the oscillator is a Schmitt trigger. The trigger waits for a capacitor to discharge pas a hysteresis point, but uses discrete voltage levels to switch. So, maybe semi-analog?
