Thats what doesn't sit with me with clean code. Too many layers dependent on each other, so changes require too much code change and time.

yeah, but food is very primal, actually the only thing we need to do as humans to survive except sleep, and the act of sharing food is very culturally encoded, the energy you put inside is understood by everyone

coding is very abstract purely human invention to produce desired "result" so as long as the code works people rarely care about how it was made.., that does not diminish coding for fun and art, but we cant expect people to appreciate it as much as cooking

I think this has to do with human bandwidth. We are required to read and reason about all generated code, but there is limit how much can each person process in a day.

If there are skills, design MCPs, automatic testing and evaluation, feature bug monitoring, security monitoring, crash handling and automatic fixes, then we could see the productivity in teams. But now it is still our responsibility and not responsibility of the system.

Move fast and don't break things.

I would not build nordstream 2. I would not turn off nuclear reactors and build pan EU 1 type nuclear reactor project. I would put sanctions on Russia the moment they invaded ukraine the first time. Build armies and heavy industries before second invasion. Make EU PRO business. MOre interesting tax incentives and reformed retirement plans and social services, because this is what will drag most countries do ground. 0 consequences when we look back Def would try to get off russian gas - Schröder is basically traitor to the whole EU.

Read: American Gods, Consider Phlebas, Neuromancer, The HitchHiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Dune 1, Nineteen Eighty-Four listened to Foundation and I definitely recommend all.

But for me Consider Phlebas is the best. Currently on 4th book in series, but cant get through it. Nineteen Eighty-Four doesnt feel geek novel, just political. Also great.

I keep reading outputs from LLMs all day and don't have energy to focus on Eng written books in the evening.

"As for me, I won't put my kid or my granddaughter or my great-granddaughter somewhere with air conditioning from morning to night!" declared Mélenchon

Yeah let them fry.. that is pure leftist bullcrap. Of course aircon uses energy. But in a grand scheme of things it is nothing. And we need to live with consequences of people like him who would fought nuclear energy.
