Superdeterminism so far seems to be prone to Occam's razor.

Actual models of superdeterminism (e.g. Donadi–Hossenfelder (2022)) seem inelegant and mathematically more complex than MWI. Which doesn't mean it's physically wrong or "weirder than MWI".

Since both use rings, you might be also interested in Fibre Channel arbitrated loop topology. Newer, but still old, of no practical significance.

Does Bret argue that good times do not create weak people? The blog reads as "good times create pretty great military power", which is something else.

Humanity is eradicating entire species left and right. Mosquitoes are our worst enemies. Can we have a deal to save some little poor amazonian frog (the doomed one which has only ~100 animals and 1 location left) and after we accomplish that, in return wipe out one species of mosquitoes?

> They are meant to adapt to parenting you, even if you were legitimately overactive or overemotional. Instead, you adapted to them.

That's just your own projection. Both sides adapt, and you haven't heard the other side yet.

Since children turn into adults, and not the other way around, I'd say that children adapt much more than parents.

It seems you hold a much stronger position than the paper you cite. Anyway paper's interesting, thanks.

> Is there a way now to define a slice-based type that enforces strict typing of its index

Nope, no way to do that.

I wonder about ergonomics. I can imagine "academic" usage, but I shudder at the perspective of the impact on a typical CRUD app.

Ah, so you haven't looked into json/v2 yet.

My anecdata is that both Duolingo and LLMs are useful in learning. Yes, you have to put in the work.

Seeing the usual HN hate on Duolingo specifically, I wonder whether it's blind. I might have missed scientific research about it causing cancer.

As a frog would say: at least the heat is separate from water, for now.
