The problem is everyone seems to have forgotten that old adage "always check your sources." This is the same problem Wikipedia had - if you took things verbatim from there, and didn't check the sources, then the mistakes are indeed your fault.

Microsoft Windows EULA has a similar clause as well. Maybe not as broad, but if Windows screws up at a really inopportune moment and it harms people, you don't get to run after Microsoft about it.

If that's your only goal in life, sure.

That sure got circular fast.

In the 80's there was a relatively famous Canadian comedy duo that did a song called Dolly Parton's T*ts. Definitely there was an obsession with them. I still remember David Letterman joking with her about them, too.

I would go one step further with "Name and describe a few candidates that conform to this recommendation" and watch it enthusiastically hallucinate candidates.

I believe it'll get there one day. But it's pretty clear we're still at "incredible toy" stage.

Does that mean you don't even review it to see if it at least matches your expectations?

Exactly. I think of a Meta-like hole that you shout into, and no response comes back. Even for insurance claims. It's inherent to the technology. Google and every other big corp is like that online, too.

I have a theory that Trump not only boycotted the dinners for a few years because he's so fragile about things said about him, but mainly because he is self conscious about this: He has no idea how to make or interpret a joke. That's why he does accordion hands and repeats his quips so very often. It worked in the old movies people laughed at back in the black-and-white days! He doesn't know how dull or stupid he sounds because he very much does not understand humour. He only (fake) laughs when safe people around him laugh. And he is acutely aware of that.

No. But if I had to, then I want to go a bit further back to pre-commercial constant tracking. As long as I get to take a modern LCD monitor with me.

Agreed. If the content isn't really designed for the wide world, the www hostname seems to be self-defeating, or at least describing the wrong thing.

Funny thing is, if you ask ChatGPT this very question, it'll give you a lot of examples.

Why do you call a news aggregator an OS? Just wondering. It seems like an odd thing to call an OS.

Confirmation bias. Simply repeating does the trick. The interesting part isn't that this error comes up. It's that it very often decides "weird" means "pornographic" and starts to generate such an image before catching itself.

Donald Trump is one who also believes this. Apparently he believes you only have so many heartbeats, and so you should avoid increasing your pulse.

That's interesting. I got an error, "We’re so sorry, but the image we created may violate our guardrails around nudity, sexuality, or erotic content. If you think we got it wrong, please retry or edit your prompt." that makes me really want to know what it came up with.
