That depends on if you are self-employed and having Claude do your labor for you, or if you are a corporate prompt-jockey.

You need two "womps" from a trombone for it to land.

> Having recently worked at Apple on the software side, my general experience was that it was fiefdom driven, there is no internal standardization on quality or process. Low level teams compete on ideas and careful politicking usually wins over quality or merit.

This 100% describes my experience working there in the core teams of iOS 10+ years ago.

CheckIn IS great, I use it daily since "when are you coming home" is otherwise something I'd be asked.

Infuriatingly though it appears to have zero data saving of preferences. I have to manually type my home address and select driving mode, every single time. It's like 30 taps when it could be 1. I sent them a Radar. I'm sure it will never be looked at.

Just now, I realized I can just vibecode my own version.

I straight up returned my iPhone 18 Pro Max last week. This was infuriating. I was having the baseband lock up and drop to SOS Mode on Verizon, so I got an AT&T eSIM (spent money). Same issue, full loss of connectivity 5 times a day requiring a reboot. So I got a T-Mobile eSIM (spent money). Same issue, full loss of connectivity 5 times a day requiring a reboot.

Then I read online that ONLY the Pro Max uses a Qualcomm modem and the Pro uses Apple C2. My wife's iPhone Air with C2 has great connectivity, better than my 17 Pro Max did before I swapped it for 18.

So I returned the Pro Max, got a Pro, am on T-Mobile full time and my signal strength is good now in buildings that I had 0 or 1 bar before, for years.

Fuck Qualcomm.

It was a 100 level O-Chem lesson for me: We had the physical ball-and-stick models.

I don't think you should infer the radius of the star from the blacked out region. I think they just do that because the luminosity of the star is so intense it would blow away the sensitivity needed to see the planets. So they set everything to zero for a certain zone on the lens/sensor. It's not the physical surface of the star.

Maybe that's when he read about Coruscant, picking up Heir to the Empire in there.

Thank you. If this whole thing isn't fun, it isn't worth doing.

I hate that this is actually perfectly listenable as background coding music I don't focus on.

If your smartwatch's Lithium Ion Battery Pack doesn't explode and amputate your arm in the sauna, it's not hot enough ;)

If you had done this on a Mac, it would have worked just fine. The failure in your chain is iOS Calendar not being an intent handler for ICS files.

Another way you could have solved it would be to have the Google Workspace connection set up in the backend for Claude and it would write the parsed events to your account directly. Then in iOS you could move the events to the iCloud Family Calendar.

Or again, if you did this on a Real Computer, you could bulk-move them.
