Very, very, very little of real-world software dev is anything close to "engineering".

Name an industry anyone likes, aside from the money they might be making off it. They're all now hated for the same reasons, caused by the same, scarily small, group of people.

I just got one of those M5 meshtastic things with a keyboard and screen. My kid is in love with it. We're just messaging each other for now, but there's a lot of nodes in our area, so we're going to get a few more devices for family/friends in the area.

Dear MS, Not interested but, thank you so much for that push out the door a while back :) Tux is my Copilot now.

Pretty sure the author doesn't intend to enforce the entire world to run QR generation through this code. I'm not stoked Roblox doesn't let me type my real name and phone number into chat. But I can still go to the playground, and say whatever I want. Those 900+ mill people might appreciate a QR-Swastika-Maximizer. Maybe you should author and host one for them. Be the good you want in the world.

They still have to walk to the bus stop.

We're not agreed. In a few years, we're gonna be. For a while.

This post looked hilarious in the "new" feed :) Then I realized which came first, and laughed even harder.

Problem this time is, this administration won't reverse the choice when everyone hates it. Not even when the children start dying on the way to school, instead of in it.

That PS thing is so dumb. People really have trouble letting go of the illusion they've been living under for a long time now. Those disks might as well be random hunks of garbage. It be hilarious if PS starting shipping old AOL CDs from a dump instead. They'd probably be more useful and help reduce landfills.

The fading draws attention to the things my brain already knew how to ignore. Less animation is almost always better, no matter what that apple guy said about "design". The only exception is where it corrects for horrible workflow design (99% of things done the "Apple" way).

"Leads" like a lemming.

In the real world, a lower score beats a high one, except that one time.
