NYT is $4 per month, and you can then share gift links.

Why should journalism be free? Is $4 not an appropriate price for real journalism? If not, then what?

Your library if it's in the US also likely maintains access to NYT archives.

> 5 years of COBR

I know its very similar to the equivalent amount of cash but it feels a lot different. I feel like half my desire to work is connected to healthcare for the family.

I think all 365 subscriptions give you access to the real desktop apps? Word and Excel desktop remain class leading on the desktop.

Do you think they will geoblock in addition to physically leaving?

The parent described "exponential returns", which I was reacting to.

For what it's worth, the S&P dividend yield is typically 1-2%, and below inflation for the majority of relevant years. So you are not ahead in real dollars until roughly the dates I mentioned.

An investment in the S&P 500 at the heights of 2000 would not materially exceed its basis until 2013!

An Nasdaq would not materially exceed until 2016.

Yes, this ignores dividends, but that really only helps manage inflation.

You would have done much better being out of the stock market until the 2009 crash.

> How much novelty can there be?

As much novelty as there is in human interactions.

> else they would never get to the 21g of sugar in a 21oz drink, as mentioned by the article.

My carton of regular milk says 11g or sugar per 240ml. So seems like simple milk could get there.

That's a fair opinion to have. Personally I have the opposite opinion and have no desire to participate in an event organized by someone with these views. I find homophobia absolutely abhorrent and cruel with real life harm to others. I am grateful this was pointed out to me.

Haven't you got pushback that it blocks the tray table of the seat behind you? I've only heard very mixed things about CARES.

> First of all, it addresses the issue of people in the EU importing things we really do not need.

I just don't understand this point at all.

So it's easier for big companies to import rather than individuals.

So niche products are more difficult and mass consumer products are easy to import.

Why would that mean that "things we don't need" are less likely to be imported. It doesn't follow at all.

I recently determined that it's basically the only place that reliably test PS5 VRR monitor capability!

A niche use case, but at least there was one source of information.

This definitely how the US system works. The core job of the appeal court is correct errors of law.

Your other criticisms are valid, such as time, money and there is definitely deference to lower court judges. But the recourse for a judge misunderstanding the law (for AI or any reason) is the appeal process.

Because they have a better price?

> Sony does not fully abide by these rules. If you buy a digital game or in-game content, Sony will only ensure that you can do so through its own PlayStation Store.

I have assumed that retail locations will continue to sell game codes, just not game disks, post disks going away. Currently there are games from like Just Dance that only include a game code in the retail box rather than game CD because of the way the game works (you're buying a dlc more than a game).

Maybe I'm wrong, but I would be surprised if PlayStation completely goes away from retail, for reasons including anti-trust, but also to encourage stocking the physical PS6 console.
