The President is usually controlled by the 'Oligarchs' which are a few ultra wealthy families that have controlled the Economy. Anyone attempting to do otherwise then following their lead ends up Dead, or deposed by some coup d'Etat.

Ah yes, I've travelled that road many times and it burnt me out. I've learned to 'let it go' and move on, not easy though.

This demonstrates to me the 'power' of the mind, similar to the placebo effect? If a belief is objectively 'true' or not is irrelevant, what the mind believes and is able to immerse itself into can manifest some unexplained results.

Of course, I'm not advocating any superstitions, but simply it seems that powerful beliefs can yield astonishing results sometimes (good or bad).

Wow, the 'Reds' is a term which I had not seen in a while, feels like I'm watching an early 80's cold war movie.

Vice is not doing this in a vacuum, 'regular' people are supporting their content. It's our responsibility to be mindful of what we watch and support. Don't feed the monster.

I like my devices cheap, dumb and offline. Nothing else.

Actually an old french saying: "Nul n'est prophète en son pays"

Don't know if its derived from the verse you mention.

They mean the same thing, of course.

There's a saying: 'No one is a prophet in their village/town'.

When the same info you communicate internally comes from an 'external' and 'credible' source, all of the sudden the message gets through.

Pretty frustrating for the 'internal' people.

No where in the article do they even try to ask the people who own or paint these words on the vehicles? Speculation throughout and not a shred of input from any of the people actually involved (Drivers, Lettering painters, police..).

Conclusion: none! We don't know and didn't ask either.

Really weird article.
