And unemployment is at its lowest point in year in Canada.
I got one recently and I am not convinced, but I suppose someone on HN might have legitimate use cases.
What did the author do with it?
Personal opinion
C# is a lot better than Java. You have less boilerplate code (getter and setter in 2018, really?) and lambdas are great.
But really both are similar so you can pretty much just start with one and still find your way in the other.
1) Machine learning (which includes deep learning) still hasn't been applied to a lot of field that would draw benefits even from a basic CNN.
2) While AI/Smart branded crap is indeed all the rage right now (and part of the bubble imo), most of those are not learning algorithms and rely on cheap marketing tricks (looking at you Oracle).
Bottomline: lot of hype comes with empty promises and ultimately the people's dissatisfaction, but there is a real demand and need for applied machine learning in many fields.
I get it. You figured I like those two things, but it's incredible that it won't pick up that I am (hopefully) not that dull.
I rely on it for pretty much everything and I didn't run into game breaking problems.
