If it’s any consolation, I typically do the same timing on my device updates. Still on Sequoia and 26.6.x and was considering upgrading earlier than usual. I will stick to the delayed cadence.

It’s the same chip that was used in older iPhones and iPads, I don’t think there is anything special about the chip inside this new device.

My parents did this exact thing to me growing up and I hated it at the time. I now see how valuable it was and will doing the same with my kids.

This is extremely regional dependent. Please don’t think 70K is living large across the majority of the Midwest, it is not.

Parental controls are extremely weak on all the major platforms. Apple, Google, Amazon, etc. they all have them so they can check the box but they are not good and certainly not a solution.

That said, it is better than nothing, but that’s about it.
